I am perfectly imperfect, and so very pleased about it. It allows me to stay grounded and ever-aware that my suitability as a mommy, sister, wife, mentor, cousin and friend comes solely from my "blood line" as a child of God, saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
I have a passion for personal development and spiritual growth, and an awe-inspired reverance for the outcomes that both can lead to.
Like many of you, I've had a life dotted with adventures, epiphanies, and disappointments.
When I was 15, I lost both of my parents in a domestic dispute.
Needless to say, that was a life-changing event.
Needless to say, that was a life-changing event.
I could hardly process that moment, let alone think about forging a future without the two people that meant the most to me.
The only thing that brought me comfort that night was my faith that "Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world". 1 John 4:4
That faith is what gave me solace on the night after my parents died, once the Valium wore off.
That faith is what put several mother and father figures in my path, who stepped in where my parents no longer could.
That faith is what introduced me to a great internship in college, with a wonderful boss, who hired me full time after graduation, and continues to mentor me until this very day.
That faith is what allowed me to give marriage a chance for myself, despite what I'd witnessed in my childhood.
That faith is what allowed me to give marriage a chance for myself, despite what I'd witnessed in my childhood.
That faith is what allowed me to find a husband with parents that I adore!
That faith is what helps me to differentiate between what I want to be, what I need to be, and who I already am.
And that faith is what continues to prune me, mold me, admonish me, and carry me, even today.
Through Unstuck and Unstoppable, I desire to share pearls of wisdom I've come across, as well as stories of courage and overcoming faith that will inspire, encourage, and enlighten.
FAITH is powerful, and if ever we want to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually, it will have to begin with our faith. Yes, it will teeter sometimes, but that's okay. We're human. Just like physical fitness, it's an ongoing journey, this faith walk.
AUTHENTICITY is a necessity. If we don't keep it real with ourselves and with others, we'll continue to have shackles holding us back from where we need to grow... holding us back from true freedom.
MOXIE is what will motivate our limbs to move when our faith says "yes", but our fears say "no". It is the strength of character that helps us face difficulty with courage.
So let's stop being Jonah! Stop running away. Forget your flaws, lack of skills, past mistakes, and low holiness factor... It's time to grow forward and EXPLODE into that next phase that God has waiting for you. He made you the way that you are for a reason-- whether you're a loud mouth, a quiet mouse, or a misfit. And getting to that next phase that He has for you is not just to help you. It's to help others, too. So let's do this, shall we? Ready? Set?
FLOW...

Hi Michele! Thanks for visiting my blog. And thank you for the generous compliments. So glad that we found one another. :-) I really enjoy your blog, too (and your Facebook page!)
love your testimony comment, "I don't hand my hopes and dreams over to the universe. I give them over to the one who created the universe." It is unbelievable that so many people pray to the Unknown god instead of entering into the wonderful relationship that is ours in Christ. May God bless you as you write to inspire others with your blog.
Thank you, Kelly! What is particularly alarming to me is the fact that many CHRISTIANS have also gotten caught up in all of this "universe" talk. It's idolatry. The universe was created, just like we were, by the Creator. Sigh... :-)
Karen you are truly blessed and highly favored. I appreciate you using the talent that God has granted you by sharing your story in a very open and transparent way.
